FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

IS YOUR BEEF GRASS-FED AND GRASS-FINISHED?

Yes! Our cattle are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished. They spend their entire lives outside on pasture. During the growing season (roughly April-December) they eat fresh grass, and during the winter months we feed them high quality dry hay.

WHAT ABOUT THE CHICKENS? WHAT DO THEY EAT?

Our chickens live on pasture in mobile houses that we move twice per day. That way they have plenty of grass and insects to forage, and we provide them with local, 100% non-GMO grain.

HOW DO I ORDER?

We also offer local delivery (Columbia and Northern Dutchess County) twice per week on Tuesday and Friday, and make monthly deliveries to Westchester and Putnam Counties.

WILL I HAVE ROOM IN MY FREEZER?

- A 50 lb. box will require 1.5 - 2.0 cubic. ft. of freezer space.

- A Quarter Beef will require 3 - 4 cubic ft. of freezer space.

ARE YOU SUSTAINABLE/REGENERATIVE/ETC.?

We don't have any formal certifications, but our practices should qualify for any of the terms you can think of. We only produce food that we would eat ourselves or feed to our families, and strive to be transparent about our practices.

Our animals are managed to build ecosystem and soil health, and we never apply ANY synthetic fertilizers, chemicals, or pesticides.

WHAT IF I'M NOT HOME WHEN THE MEAT ARRIVES?

If you choose shipping, your meat is packed in an insulated box with plenty of ice. It should stay frozen until you get home that day.

If you are having your meat delivered by us, we will reach out to you to confirm your delivery time. If you can't be home during the delivery window, just leave a cooler outside or pick a different delivery date!
